The Gracious Mistress of the Parsonage must win the award for most challenging question-asker. She has excellent question-asking skills, and, more importantly, she knows when to ask each inquiry. Learn the best info about GHKKPM Written Update.
She has mastered the art of question-ology during our marriage. I need help to think of a single inquiry she hasn’t made.
On the other side of the spectrum, I have become an expert at not providing the correct answers when asked. It’s not that my answers are always wrong, but instead that they rarely satisfy her. Regarding my marriage, that is crucial. She has very high standards for herself.
We’ve been married for a long time, but I still haven’t mastered hearing her question and how she intends it to be heard. From experience, I know that providing the wrong response may get me into serious problems. I’ve been there, done that so that you can rest confident.
The other night after dinner, we turned on the news; as you know, it isn’t terrific these days. But unfortunately, they only ever show us the terrible immorality that is taking place in our country. I’ll admit that I’m starting to tire of all this gloom.
My wife cleared her throat and asked, “Do you think there will be a television in heaven?” during a commercial break.
I’ll admit that your question took me aback. For a while, I tried to wrap my head around the significance of her inquiry, but I came up empty. The only way I can answer her question correctly is if I can see things from her perspective, and it has been a hard lesson to learn the hard way.
Taking a quick look in her direction, I swallowed hard and asked, “Excuse me, what did you say?”
She gave me a simple look before saying, “You heard me.” Will there be a TV in paradise, in your opinion?
The last two months have been difficult to respond to because we stayed in and watched Hallmark Mystery Movies whenever we could not leave the house. It’s nice to tune off the world and lose yourself in one of these shows. There’s always a happy conclusion.
Such like… The news may be a real downer to watch. When things seem at their worst, they somehow manage to get worse.
I have been unable to trust any news source for a long time. Local newscasts may occasionally get it right, but national outlets often must catch up. They’ll say or do anything for attention.
And then there are the politicians to consider. Politicians would die of shock if they ever told the truth regularly. I don’t understand that nobody can be trusted to tell the truth anymore.
My wife’s inquiry, though, was fascinating. In today’s culture, television is so pervasive that its absence would be unthinkable. So even in certain areas where reception is poor, TV has undeniably become ubiquitous.
As Will Rogers once said, “All I know is what I read in the newspapers.”
If he were living today, Mr. Rogers would update that phrase to read, “All I know is what I see on television.”
The sad truth is that this is all most people have ever known. And they let it dictate how they act, feel, and think.
TV is essential to modern life but doesn’t belong in heaven. After all, Revelation 21:8 says that “all liars” will be sent to hell.
Take, as an example, reality television shows. None of those shows are based on any realism. Instead, making money is the only thing that matters to them.
The news also tends to highlight people’s worst traits. For example, it’s hard to trust anyone after seeing the information.
“I’m not sure; what do you think?” I eventually turned to my wife.
“I’ve been thinking about that,” she answered thoughtfully, “and my conclusion is simply, I hope not.”
My wife and I don’t always see eye to eye, but we’re on the same page. So that’s quite unusual, and I hope to reflect on it sometime.
What shows would air in heaven if there was a TV there? And would any well-known people be present?
In heaven, I can’t think of a single TV show I’d want to watch. There are better ways to spend time than watching something on television that has no basis in reality.
As we were wrapping up our chat, I asked my wife, and I asked my wife, “If there was a television in heaven, what program would you want to watch?”
That sparked a deep and thoughtful dialogue, during which I learned about her preferences.
After talking with you, I wondered if the Bible said anything about this. God is not in the wicked man’s thoughts because of his prideful visage, according to Psalm 10:4.
I’ve concluded that anything that distracts me from God should be eliminated. There will be no room in heaven for anything save God’s thoughts.
