Reversing Malicious Registry Modifications with a Registry Cleaner

The operating system-installed apps and games can all use the registry. Errors ranging from minor runtime glitches to severe reboots are more likely to occur once the registry has been improperly updated.

Follow these procedures to successfully restore your Windows 7 registry and correct any broken or inaccurate entries:

First, get yourself a copy of System Utilities software with a Registry Cleaner program built in.
2. Select the Registry Cleaner menu.
Use the Start Scan button to check the registry for misconfigured settings that can be reset to their original values.
After the scan results have been displayed, select Fix Now.
5. After finishing, restart the computer.

The Registry Is Being Restored

You can only use this fix if you have already created a registry backup, whether total or partial. Using the menu options provided by the Registry Editor, the user can save and restore previous versions of the registry.

How to roll back Windows 7 registry to an earlier backup:

Just hit the “Start” button.
2 Enter RegEdit into the search bar.
The Registry Editor will open when you press Enter.
4. Select the Import menu option under File.
5. Pick an existing Registration File (.reg) to use. You can create a copy of your registry by saving it as a.reg file.
To proceed, select Open.
Seven, be patient while the registration is being restored. This process could take a while, depending on how many registry entries are being restored.
When you’re done, close Registry Editor.
